MISSION + PURPOSE

Hi! I'm Marley.
I was saved in January (2021) Shortly after I had a strong desire to write again. Only this time my journal entry’s were faith based. Disclaimer : I will definitely mess up grammar, and I will either include too many or not enough commas. If you can read past the flaws, my hope is for the readers to be encouraged. Dwell + Delight is a blog for really anyone who stumbles here. If that’s a one time thing or continuous. Welcome.
The reason for starting Dwell + Delight is simply to share the good news. My purpose is to motivate women who are genuinely seeking faith in Christ. After all, this blog is ultimately about Jesus. It points to who He is, and what He has done since I surrendered my life to Him. My hope is to inspire others to pursue His word, and follow in His ways. One of many things I’ve learned on my walk of faith is that true peace, joy, contentment and rest are found in Him alone.
Whether you have been raised up in the faith, or have grown lukewarm and stagnant. Whether you want to learn more about God, and further develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Him. This blog is for you. If you are skeptic, or find yourself discouraged, and disappointed within your circumstances, and recognize you have become resistant to proceed in the faith, I write for you. My hope, and my prayer is to encourage and point you to Christ. Only He can restore what’s broken, and evoke you with the desires to pursue Him, if there’s willingness within you to seek.
I want to blog on the basics, because for many it’s easy to just say things like “God loves you” or “Jesus saves”. Dwell + Delight is a place that will break down what that actually means for us. Though both statements are true, I lacked the wisdom to understand the significance of what these essentials to faith meant in my life. Let me tell you the Word of God is foundational in the christian walk. God hears from us through our prayers. He created us, and He knows us. Can we say we know Him. Without knowledge of His living word we can not. A relationship requires connection. It requires communication. It’s a priority and sometimes a relationship means commitment. We can’t expect to piggy back on anyone else’s relationship with God but our own.
